Sciences Po Lille has been represented by Philippe Liger-Belair and Patrick Mardellat (Director of the International Relations) at three stages of the CEE conference: the 26 October in Chengdu (capital of Sichuan province), the 28 and 29 in Shanghai and the 31st in Guangzhou.
Under the flag of Camps France it has been the opportunity for Sciences Po Lille to inform Chinese students about ways to integrate Sciences Po Lille to study at the Master level.
It was also the occasion to advertise the excellence of Sciences Po Lille in China. Since 2013-2014 Sciences Po Lille is recruiting Chinese graduate students through a competitive exam.
With 121 + French language departments in Chinese Universities and a large network of the Alliance Française, the number of Chinese students interested in Masters studies in France and especially at Sciences Po Lille is quite high.
Chinese students with a French background can integrate different Masters programs in Communication and journalism, International Commerce and Finance, Sustainable Development and Cultural Institutions Management.
This presence of Sciences Po Lille in China has also been the occasion of strengthening the links with partner institutions like Fudan University in Shanghai, Sun Yat-sen University and Jinan Univeristy in Guangzhou. The discussion was about joint programs and common research topics.
Profs Philippe Liger-Belair and Patrick Mardellat have also given some lectures in Guangzhou.
Philippe Liger-Belair’s discussion thread has been about fiscal justice and fiscal sociology; Patrick Mardellat has dealt with the EU’s trade and development policy and also with the sovereignty of the euro.
