"Building, undoing, bettering ... With the return of a large public school in the heart of Lille (Rue Angellier), Sciences Po Lille is replacing the former Faculty of Arts that was built in 1895. This will bring a new student district out of the ground, with Sciences Po Lille being at the heart of it all...

Sciences Po Lille is the only large public school that boldly displays the name of the town in which it seeks to represent. Its relocation to the heart of Lille, 7-9 Rue Angellier, is only a homecoming, with all lovers of this historical building are delighted with.

The former Art Faculty built in 1895, was moribund for a good twenty years, and has now found a second youth, which is what this beautiful building rightfully deserves. This district could have lost its Latin, but here it is, once again, as coherent, readable and generous with surprises. The arrival of Sciences Po Lille (premises provided by the city) will double in size from the relocation (photo opposite) of the university library. It will be complemented by the obvious synergies from its immediate environment (ESJ). It will benefit from the proximity of a new house, named Michel, that houses researchers, for sports overhaul of the CRPD (documentation center)."

So, here comes the tree that will reveal the forest. "This is a neighborhood matter that is presented, that of colleges and research. Within three years, the transformation will be complete, " says Principal, Benoît Lengaigne.
