Sciences Po Lille is happy to welcome Professor Michael Samers who will give a class on “A comparative political economy of immigration” from March 13th until March 18th
Michael Samers is a professor at the University of Kentucky.
His research and teaching interests lie broadly in economic and urban geography, but particularly in the political-economic, urban, and socio-theoretical dimensions of migration/immigration, as well as alternative forms of economic development and international finance.
He has also conducted research on issues relating to ‘globalization’, (informal) work and labor markets in cities, as well as Islamic banking and finance.
