Good afternoon,
The recent news reminds us that the Covid-19 virus is still active.
As we start this new academic year, I must emphasize once again on the importance of being vigilant and ensuring the respect of protective measures for everyone.
While isolation is no longer mandatory in case of a positive test today, practicing the simple measures outlined below on a daily basis helps protect ourselves, others, and preserves the safety and well-being of the entire community. This significantly affects our ability to ensure that the school operates as normally as possible.
Reminder of protective measures:
• Regularly wash your hands or use hand sanitizer.
• Wear a mask whenever necessary and strongly recommended (in case of a positive test, in public transport, or during large gatherings or events, for example).
• Cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue.
• Use a disposable tissue for blowing your nose
• Greet without shaking hands and avoid hugs.
• Stay at home when symptoms are significant and notify the administration.
• Regularly ventilate indoor spaces (10 minutes every hour).
In case of doubt or symptoms, it is better to do an antigen test or a PCR test and consult your doctor as soon as possible.

In case of a positive test, it is highly recommended to wear a mask for up to 7 days, limit contact with others as much as possible, keep a distance of 2 meters, and avoid contact with vulnerable persons.
I urge you to be careful, and I rely on everyone's vigilance to ensure that this academic year begins as smoothly as possible.
I take this opportunity to wish you all an excellent start to the year.
Warm regards,
Pierre Mathiot
Directeur de Sciences Po Lille.
