Munster university's visit

SPL and Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität of Münster are historical and long-lasting partners. Our cooperation is multidimensional: naturally through the Erasmus + program (exchanging students, professors and staffs) but also through our Franco-German dual degree in social and political sciences.
Created in 1999, this Franco-German dual degree offers students the opportunity to study social and political sciences in France, at Sciences Po Lille, and in Germany, at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität of Münster.

Every year, an equal number of French and German students are selected to attend each participating institution.

Upon completing the program, students are awarded 3 diplomas: a bachelor’s degree from the University of Münster, a master’s degree from the University of Münster, and the Sciences Po Lille degree.

They also receive a certificate from the Franco-German university that supports the program.
This cooperation requires a great understanding of the partner in both institutions.

Mid-February SPL had the pleasure to welcome an important delegation of colleagues from Münster who came to Lille to analyze the best ways to increase and enhance our cooperation.
Colleagues from the exam department, from the registration office, from the foreign language department or the international office among other departments and offices worked with SPL’s staffs for two days to discover, compare our respective practices.

Sharing “good practices” , discovering how the partners deal with specific questions and issues is a great way to  improve competences, linked to professional profiles, to broader understanding of practices, policies and systems in education, training or youth across countries.

Please have a look at the various workshops organized during this visit:

SPL ambitions through the Erasmus+ Staff Training Mobility (for Academic and Administrative Staff)

With Erasmus+, training opportunities are available to staff working in education, both in teaching and non-teaching capacities.

Training periods abroad can consist of job shadowing, observation periods, professional development courses or specific competence-building events.

Opportunities to take part in professional development activities are available to staff working at all levels of education.

Expected outcomes of the Erasmus + staff mobility:
SPL ambitions to benefit from outgoing as well as from incoming Staff Training Mobility in order to:
-  intensify motivation and satisfaction in the staffs’ daily work.
-  improve competences, connected to professional profiles
- broader understanding of practices, policies and systems in education, training or youth across countries
-  increase capacity to activate modifications in terms of modernization and international opening within their educational organizations
-  diffuse better understanding of interconnections between formal and non-formal education, vocational training and the labour market respectively
- propose greater quality of their work and activities in favour of students, trainees, apprentices, pupils, adult learners, young people and volunteers
- enjoy greater understanding and responsiveness to social, linguistic and cultural diversity
-  increase ability to address the needs of the disadvantaged
- increase opportunities for professional and career development
- develop foreign language competences
