Students at Sciences Po Lille can also obtain the university’s Diplôme Universitaire (DU), the Certificate of Political Studies (CEP). It is granted to international exchange students who have a good command of written and spoken French and who spend a full academic year (two semesters) at Sciences Po Lille.

Seminars are modules aiming to conduct students to think « out of the box ». Themes of these courses as well as pedagogical methods are a great opportunity for students to discover new horizons. These seminars can either be taught in French, English or Spanish and give access to 5 ECTS.

Students who choose to study the French language at Sciences Po Lille take classes at one of 4 levels adapted to their knowledge of the French language. The coursework offered in the French language track is determined by a student's language level.

At the beginner level, language learning is reinforced through small-group tutorials and interactive pedagogy. At the more advanced levels, students take classes intended to prepare them for study within the French education system, from methodology modules to small thematic classes on topics related to the social sciences or the humanities.
